SoulTymes is a space rooted in compassion, reflection, and a deep respect for the end-of-life experience.
Rather than providing direct end-of-life doula care, my focus is on offering education, guidance, and language that can help individuals and their circle of care feel more prepared and supported.
This includes helping people understand the physical and emotional changes that may occur at the end of life, offering grounded perspective around practical considerations, and creating space for open conversation, reflection, and peace.
At its core, this work is about bringing clarity, calm, and a sense of steadiness to a time that can often feel uncertain.
My Path I was drawn to this work after the passing of a dear friend and neighbor.
He suffered unnecessarily, but I was able to help him receive pain relief sooner by arranging a telehealth appointment that led to a hospice referral.
That experience opened my eyes to how unprepared many of us are for this stage of life—and how meaningful it can be to have someone who brings awareness, presence, and a sense of direction during these moments.
It continues to shape my desire to share information and offer support in a way that feels grounded, accessible, and human.
My Background I draw on a wide range of life experiences from my previous roles as a holistic life coach, massage therapist, teacher, grandmother, and medical coder.
These paths have taught me how to listen deeply, respond gently, and meet each person exactly where they are.
My perspective is shaped by intuition, sensitivity, and a strong sense of connection—the kind of awareness that helps me understand what may bring comfort, even when it isn’t spoken aloud.
Outside of this work, I enjoy chorale singing, traveling, gardening, fashion, interior design, and a good movie.
I’m also an Airbnb host and the author of Razing Elaine: Stumbling, Tumbling, Fumbling, Breathing Through—a memoir capturing my unconventional life journey.
Professional Training I have completed training through the International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA), an organization known for its work in end-of-life education and support.
This training informs the educational and reflective guidance shared throughout this site.
What I Offer I do not provide medical care, in-home support, or ongoing end-of-life doula services.
Instead, I offer a space for learning, reflection, and conversation—supporting individuals and families as they begin to understand, prepare for, and talk about end-of-life in a more informed and compassionate way.
In Closing End-of-life is a deeply human experience.
My intention is to offer something that helps this time feel a little more understood, a little less overwhelming, and a little more supported—for both the person at the center of it and those who care for them.
