End-of-Life Doula Services for Compassionate Care

About Me

My Approach

As an End-of-Life Doula, I accompany individuals and their circle of care through the dying process with compassion, steadiness, and deep respect.
My role is to educate, support, and advocate so that each person’s wishes, values, and autonomy are honored.

I provide non-clinical support — care that complements, rather than replaces, medical or hospice services.
This may include helping families understand the physical and emotional changes that occur at the end of life, offering calm, grounded guidance with practical needs, and creating space for open conversation, reflection, and peace.
Above all, I bring a quiet, attentive presence that helps people feel less alone and more supported during this tender time.

My Path

I was called to this work after the passing of a dear friend and neighbor.
He suffered unnecessarily, but I was able to help him receive pain relief sooner by arranging a telehealth appointment that led to a hospice referral.
That experience opened my heart to the profound need for compassionate, informed companionship at the end of life — someone who can stand alongside a family, steady the room, and help guide the way forward.

My Background

I draw on a wide range of life experiences from my previous roles as a life coach, massage therapist, teacher, grandmother, and medical coder.
These paths have taught me how to listen deeply, respond gently, and meet each person exactly where they are.

My work is shaped by intuition, sensitivity, and a strong sense of connection — the kind of inner knowing that helps me understand what brings comfort, even when it isn’t spoken aloud.

Outside of doula service, I enjoy chorale singing, traveling, gardening, fashion, interior design, and a good movie.
I’m also an Airbnb host and the author of Razing Elaine: Stumbling, Tumbling, Fumbling, Breathing Through — a memoir capturing my unconventional life journey.

Training & Credentials

I have been trained by the International End-of-Life Doula Association (INELDA), an organization that sets the standard for doula education and compassionate end-of-life care. My experiences as an intimacy coach and holistic bodyworker naturally blends into the role of a doula.

What I Provide

I do not offer medical or housekeeping services.
Instead, I focus on being a steady, supportive presence — bridging the gap between clinical care and the personal, emotional, and spiritual needs that arise during this sacred time.
My goal is to bring clarity, calm, and comfort to the entire circle of care.

In Closing

It is my honor to walk alongside individuals and families during one of life’s most profound transitions.
With warmth, understanding, and reverence, I strive to help each person experience this passage with dignity, meaning, and peace.

I will do all I can not only to help you die peacefully, but also to live until you die.
